Starbucks’ Appearance in Game of Thrones Went Viral

Starbucks made a cameo on the latest episode of Game of Thrones. The episode 4 which aired on May 5th, suddenly became the talk of the town after one certain scene. The eagle-eyed fans managed to see a Starbucks cup on a table and quickly made a tweet about it. After a short period of time, the tweets about Starbucks in Game of Thrones have been liked and retweets for more than thousands. A lot of people have been talking about the incident ever since.

Game of Thrones is a political series of one kingdom and others. It has been aired for 8 seasons now. The season 8 which currently airs, is the last season—that is why fans and non-fans are watching the season. The series’ setting itself takes place in mid-to-late 1400s, which makes no sense to have a Starbucks cup on the set.

Starbucks unexpectedly got a free advertisement due to this incident. Dan Hill, the CEO of Hill Impact, predicts that Starbucks could get more than $1 million in public relations. He said that although the cup cannot be seen clearly, people would assume it is a cup of Starbucks because Starbucks is a known brand.

Starbucks and HBO have not commented on this incident yet. However, HBO has quietly removed the cup from the scene within overnight. That’s why the viewers are not able to see the cup on HBO Go and other streaming platforms anymore.
