Eminem Joins Logic as “Partner in Crime” for “Homicide”

While the rap lovers may argue about mumble rap and lyrical raps, yes, this hit is lyrical. The Rap God himself went down from his throne once more to prove that the old-school rap still reigns in hip-hop. Logic buys the idea too. This song is packed with a shootout of fast pace, jaw dropping, bars exchanges between the two.

In the rappity-rap song, Logic calls out the rappers out there who can only use mumbling mumbo jumbo to attract young generation, in spite of the fact that it is incomprehensible and meaningless. It is no secret that Logic and Eminem both have mutual hatred toward this mumble rap trend. While he is “foaming his mouth and nobody takes him out”, Logic laments that the old-school rap is getting fewer and fewer listener as the time passed by.
Eminem, as usual, supports the lead artist’s claim and boasts in his achievements on the second verse.

However, to a different point, Eminem calls out those who spit other’s rap. In other words, Eminem disses rappers out there who use ghostwriter, as what he did in “Lucky You” his Kamikaze album.
As the track rolls out, the two sparked once again a heat competition between the trendy mumble rap and the conservative lyrical rap over young listeners. It will be no surprise, if in the next month or weeks, Logic or Em’s names are in other rappers’ bars. Agree to disagree, both just will not let the old school die.
