6 additional COVID-19 symptom by CDC

As novel coronavirus is a new type of virus, researchers keep watch over it as the virus might have evolved and develop. The well-known and common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Those symptoms might indicate that someone might have exposed to the virus thus start showing the symptoms.

Based on the research conducted in the early stage of the virus outbreak, symptoms may appear after 2 - 14 days after exposure to the virus and people with these symptoms or combination of symptoms might possible to have COVID-19

CDC or The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added several new symptoms to its existing list of symptoms for COVID-19. The additional symptoms that may come with the disease are chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.

WHO already declares that COVID-19 is a pandemic, thus the expanded symptoms list is an important information as typically those that seek a test must show the symptoms first as the available number testing kits is still limited.

There is anecdotal evidence for some of those newly listed symptoms. Some people with confirmed COVID-19 have reported their loss of smell and taste and some other hospitalized patients also mentioned that the disease makes them feel muscle pain, headache, and chills.
