England will be “Surfing” Faster with 5G This August

England, United Kingdom - Several British mobile operators such as Tri, EE Limited and Vodafone BT are reported to launch the first generation 5G broadband service in London on August this year. It is also reported that after the network is on, they will also launch mobile phones that support the 5G network before the end of 2019, making them as a complete package to surfing the internet faster.

The Hutchison-owned company said they have given infrastructure investment to build 5G services at least USD 2.5 billion including an increase in networks in major British cities and cloud core networks provided by Nokia.

However, according to The Verge, Tri claims that their 5G network is at least twice as fast as its competitors like EE Limited and Vodafone using the 140MHz spectrum. However, the Tri 5G network will be available in London first.

For starters the Tri 5G network in the UK will be available on home internet via a Wi-Fi connection using a home broadband connection. Tri's 5G network connects to Tri's BTS to a British home router. This 5G network speed is equivalent to fiber broadband that can open the website for only milliseconds.

The EE Limited also has launched 5G services in six cities in the UK in May, while Vodafone's 5G service will be launched on July 3.

However, Huawei users need to wait for the certainty, whether the 5G network can be used on their phone as the British National Security Council in April had decided to block Huawei from all core parts of the 5G network, even though still there is no official announcement for that.

5G network services will be spread in 25 major and remote cities in the UK including Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool while 5G commercial launches around the world are scheduled to be launched massively in 2020.

Tri also said that they will announce the details of which handsets will be part of the 5G cell phones this July so the people can get the best 5G experience later.
