Japan Prime Minister and South Korea President Congratulated Jokowi : Let's Strengthen Our Relationships!

It is reported that Jokowi and his partner, Ma'ruf Amin, won the 2019 general election on April 17. Based on the results of the national vote recapitulation earlier this morning, the General Election Commission (KPU) explained that Jokowi-Ma'ruf won 85,036,828 votes or 55.41 percent of the total 153,479,321 national legitimate votes.

The Japanese Embassy to Indonesia on Tuesday (21/5) stated that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his congratulations on President Joko Widodo's victory in the 2019 general election. Prime Minister Abe is also hoping to cooperate with President Joko Widodo to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, the President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, also did not want to miss this chance to congratulate Jokowi.

Through the South Korean Ambassador in Jakarta, Kim Chang-beom, President Moon expressed his warmest congratulations to Jokowi who was re-elected president.

"The warmest congratulations from President Moon Jae-in were given to President Jokowi for his re-election as President of Indonesia. He (President Moon) hoped to be able to work more broadly and stronger with Indonesia," Kim wrote via Twitter.

Jokowi in his speech Kampung Deret, Jakarta, mentioned that after being installed in October, him and Ma'ruf are the President and Vice President of all Indonesian people, and that they are 100 percent leaders and protectors of the Indonesian people. They will strive to realize social justice for 100 percent of the Indonesian people from now and in the future.
