Facebook Lawyer: “No Privacy Guaranteed on Sites”

It is contrary to what the CEO said. Yesterday (30/5), Mark Zuckerberg announced the final verdict considering to be the most crucial issue on every social media platform. He stated that he wanted to make Facebook a “secured” sites.

This security matter covers all of the private information of all its users. In June 2018, members of American Senate rained questions over Zuckerberg, and one of the questions was concerning the privacy of Facebook. Facebook was accused of data mining and being unable to keep the privacy of its users.

However, on Wednesday (29/5), just one day before the Zuckerberg’s announcement, Orin Snyder, Facebook’s lawyer, states that there is no such policy on Facebook. For Snyder, why should there be any privacy policy for Facebook, when there is no guarantee of privacy at all?

“No invasion of privacy, since there is no privacy at all,” added Snyder in a hearing in Cambridge Analytica’s Facebook assessment.

In April, at Facebook F8 2019 conference, Zuckerberg showed his dedication for user’s privacy by claiming that in 5-10 years ahead, Facebook is going private.

While Zuckerberg wants to share the long term dream of making Facebook a “secured” social media platform, Snyder does not agree to what Zuckerberg has in mind.

Snyder described Facebook as a “digital town”. To share something on Facebook means that the user unconsciously and freely disregards his/her privacy.

Well, if you want to be private, then the one and only solution is to go off the grid.
