17 nursery teachers retired due to power harassment
It has been about three weeks since 17 nursery teachers retired at Wakuya Nursery School in Wakuya Town, Miyagi Prefecture due to power harassment by the president of the social welfare corporation. The shortage of nursery teachers continued, and the mental instability of the children was seen, and more than 10 people decided to change the kindergarten. The briefing session required by the parents' association has not yet been held.
According to the prefecture, 15 childcare workers are required for a capacity of about 110 children, and shift work is also involved, so it is necessary to secure a few more. According to the report from the garden, there are 13 nursery teachers. The prefecture is instructing them to replenish them as soon as possible, but if this situation continues, they will consider stronger guidance.
In early December, the town held a consultation meeting for parents to change the garden, and about 30% of the parents participated. So far, four children have changed the kindergarten, and eight have changed the kindergarten. The parents association is distrustful of the president's response when making individual inquiries, and is requesting that a briefing session be held when parents meet together.
On the other hand, the chairman announced a policy of distributing and explaining to about 10 people at a time to prevent infection with the new coronavirus, so on the evening of the 16th, about 50 volunteers from the parents' association visited Wakuya Nursery School. I visited and told the chairman to hold a briefing session.
The chairman responded through the intercom and repeatedly said, "Please move out of the premises." There was also a scene where a police officer who received a request from the president entered between the two sides. According to parents, children are experiencing physical and mental disorders. Some of the dolls look like retired nursery teachers, and some of them look sad, saying, "I'm a teacher, so I'm taking a rest all the time."
In addition to several parents complaining that they started crying at night, the mother of a one-year-old child said, "I used to breastfeed only when I was sleeping, but when I get home from work, I often want it. I started looking for mom. I'm feeling stressed." The Parents' Association has a policy of requesting the Chairman to hold a briefing session for all parents. The prefecture is also urging the president to make efforts in line with the intentions of the parents' association.
