Are you ready for Wi-Fi 6? --- Here’s facts from the next-gen Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi 6, the next generation of Wi-Fi 5, is going to be released in late 2019, according to the Wi-Fi Alliance. However, the official release date hasn’t confirmed yet.

The new Wi-Fi router is expected to deliver better Wi-Fi performance especially in crowded environments such as an office, an apartment and other public spaces where there are a lot of wireless gadgets.

Regarding the speeds, industry experts said Wi-Fi 6 will work approximately 30% faster than the previous Wi-Fi, with maximum transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps.

Some IT companies such as Cisco, Netgear, Asus, and TP-Lin has released their own Wi-Fi 6, but you have to think twice before buying these products. Since the fully certified Wi-Fi 6 haven’t released yet, these routers may skip some features.

Maybe it just minors, however, it is a good idea to wait until the official launching.

The price of the Wi-Fi 6 routers may start from £200/$200, cited Tech Radar.

Samsung Galaxy S10 is reported to be the first smartphone to support Wi-Fi 6. Other devices are believed to follow suit.

Maybe some people would think by using Wi-Fi 6 their internet connection will be faster, however it is not going to affect the connection’s speed. Wi-Fi 6 is not designed to improve the Wi-Fi service in general, but it is an upgrade for routers and Wi-Fi devices. Therefore, if the connection is slow from the start then Wi-Fi 6 can’t make it faster.
