North korea as one of free covid19 country

11 Free Corona-19 countries

Covid-19 pandemic has infected more than 3.9 million people worldwide and caused more than 275 thousand deaths, as of Saturday, May 9, 2020. Nevertheless there are still some countries in the world that until now managed to avoid Covid-19. Based from Gulf News, 210 countries have been infected with corona after the first case identified in China in December 2019, based on research from John Hopkins University in Baltimore, United States.

In addition, there are 11 countries still free from the corona pandemic. These countries are North Korea, Turkmenistan, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, and Tonga. Most of the list are countries in the form of small islands in the middle of the ocean.
In addition to the 11 countries, there are 10 more places free of COVID-19. But those regions are in countries like Britain, the United States, France and Australia.

Since the Corona outbreak began, North Korea has not reported any infected residents. The country has imposed cruel quarantine measures to avoid Covid-19. In addition, the Soviet Union, which is located in Central Asia, is also closed and rarely visited. Because it is rarely exposed to the outside world, this seems to make Turkmenistan not have a corona case.

While in countries in the middle of the ocean such as Vanuatu, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Niue, Palau, Kiribati and Tonga were not infected by Corona because of its location far away from countries infected with the corona outbreak of Covid-19. Although it is doubtful that a number of countries, especially those who are skeptical of the leadership style of Kim Jong-un, North Korea is included in the list of 11 countries that are still free from the pandemic.
