10 Civilians Killed during Suriah’s Air Bombing Attack in Eid Al-Fitr

Syria - It is reported that, on Wednesday (5/6), air strikes and shootings were carried out by the ruling regime in Syria and killed 10 civilians in the northwest of the country when local residents were celebrating Eid al-Fitr at the local time.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights explained that, the attack killed two children of six people who were attacked in the town of Kafr Aweid, located in the province ruled by the Idlib jihadist. Families of the victims gathered at the cemetery in the city on Wednesday afternoon, when an excavator dug a large hole in the ground.

AFP photographer stated that, the body scattered from one of the children was placed in a cardboard box before being buried, while the other bodies were covered by embroidered blue sarongs.

Report of monitors based in the UK said that, other civilians were also killed in the shooting by the regime in the rebel-held northern village of Hama. The air bombing strike which landed in the town of Maaret al-Numan in Idlib hit a motorbike and killed a woman and her two children as Oberservatorium explained. This attack occurred after the government stepped up violence in some of the country northwest. Right now, the area is controlled by a former Al-Qaeda affiliate, Hayat Tahrir as-Sham.

However, analysis estimates that President Bashar al-Assad and his allies will continue to bombard the area, but they will not release a major attack that will create chaos in the border region with Turkey.

It is reported that since 2011, the conflict in Syria has killed more than 370,000 people. The government and local people are hoping that this air bombing strike will stop and that the people can live in peace.
