"Abbey Road Style” Supporting Asakusa with T-shirts Created by Shin Nakamise Shopping Street
To
promote the Asakusa Shinnakamise shopping district in Taito Ward, where the new
coronavirus is not returning enough, Executive Director Akihiro Hashimoto (45)
of the promotion association appointed a local character who is currently
inactive for social distance (social distance). I made an awareness T-shirt.
Sold by the well-established promide store "Malberdo", the bright
blue design with appreciation to the medical staff catches the eye.
The "Shin-Naka
Ichishoutai" created by the young directors of the promotion association
has been enlivening the shopping district with the mascot
"Shinnyaka", but it has been suspended since March. The local
character's event was also canceled, and he lost his place of activity. After
overcoming the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 and the Great Tokyo Air Raid in
1945, some shops with shutters came to open in a shopping street with more than
100 stores.
In June, Mr. Hashimoto noticed on
Instagram that he wrote "A morning when he noticed that he was sleeping in
a social distance T-shirt." It was posted by the staff of Marvel Hall.
When I used to run a clothing store, I saw a T-shirt that I had invented. I
thought, "Let's make T-shirts for local characters and support them."
Inspired by the Beatles famous
album "Abbey Road" jacket, we thought of a design where local
characters wearing masks on the pedestrian crossing walk at a distance. In
addition to the new nyakana, 4 characters of "Kota" in the Hirai
shopping district of Edogawa Ward, "Osaki Ichitaro" from the West
Exit of Osaki Station in Shinagawa Ward, and "Chousei Soymilk-kun"
certified by the Japan Soy Milk Association are free of charge. The designer
completed a bright shirt with a line up.
