Abe-Xi Meeting Confirmed Normalized Relationship Between The Two Nations

After seven years of bitter relationship since Japan’s declaration of nationalizing the Senkaku Archipelagos in 2012, it seems that China is changing attitude toward Japan to normalize the relationship.
PM Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a meeting in Vladivostok on September 12 before the two participated in the “Eastern Economic Forum”.
Reportedly, Abe and Xi agreed to set the North Korea’s denuclearization as a common goal and to hold a first public-private committee meeting in Beijing on Sept 25 to talk about Japanese companies possible participation in China’s Belt Road Initiative.
Assuming that PM Abe is elected as LDP President for the third term in this month, he will visit China on October 23 to jointly celebrate the 40th anniversary of Japan-China Peace and Friendship Treaty.
